ACADEMICS

KINDERGARTEN (K4/5)

Early childhood is a sensational time! Our youngest schoolchildren will experience the pleasure and enthusiasm of an exceptional academic program in a cultivating and encouraging spiritual environment. Their God-given gifts, talents, and imaginations are nurtured by highly credential, caring, teachers.

The Kindergarten program allows a solid foundation for each child’s learning and spiritual development. It is in these primary childhood years that each child learns to read, write, listen attentively, obey, social skills with others, and experience a spiritual beginning at school.

During our demanding schedule, students are introduced to The Pledge of Allegiance, Bible book of Proverbs spiritual basics, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Computer.  Throughout Kindergarten, your student will receive letter grades and weekly progress reports.

We will reference to the Bible book of Proverbs that will allow the character framework for learning as students grow through an outstanding and all-inclusive education that nurtures their personalities, their minds, and their bodies as they become “conformed to the image of being a balanced student.”

SECONDARY

NormRose Believe Academy Middle and high school pupils plan for college by focusing on core subjects’ skills complemented by practical elective courses with a continuance enrollment in athletic events.

6th-8th Grade

Middle School is preparation for high school and is an exciting time of life! As students are experiencing quick growth physically and socially, they are also being hard-pressed to grow educationally and spiritually. Students are encountered to apply their comprehension, to ask questions about their discoveries, and to look at every discipline and content area through a larger academic arena. As students are encouraged to think deeply about a variety of issues in a safe and caring environment, a solid spiritual engagement begins to emerge.

Classes at the Middle School transition from an elementary self-contained model to departmentalized with numerous teachers, allowing for concentration in the content areas. Core subjects include Bible book of Proverbs Spiritual character counts, History, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Additional elective classes include physical education, health, Spanish, Chinese and electives with options in the fine and performing arts, literature, technology, and physical education.

9th-12th Grade

High School is preparation for post-secondary education and adult life. Students are given a Spiritual-centered from the Bible Book of Proverbs, career-technology, eclectic, college preparatory curriculum. The curriculum is taught from a spiritual character count lesson and is enriched by an assorted emphasis. Altogether taught in the classroom, reinforced in athletics, and modeled by the faculty aims to further a student’s preparation for adulthood.

The curriculum is especially designed to prepare students for a collegiate level, military, and school-to-career setting. The PSAT is taken in the tenth and eleventh grades. The eleventh-grade scores are used to determine National Merit Scholarships candidates, which can contribute greatly to collegiate options and scholarships. The eleventh grade is the single most important year for college placement, and is often the most difficult. Students are encouraged to take the SAT I/SAT II, ACT for college entrance and for military the ASVAB is taken as well.  Eleventh grade year is the time we will plan college tours to ensure students select the appropriate colleges. During the senior year the greatest number of Honor and Advanced Placement courses may be taken.  If needed the students will RETAKE the SATI/SAT II, ACT and ASVAB.
